BASEBALL THIS WEEKEND??!!!??

Winter weather rolled through Auburn again…just another week in April I guess. However, the 10 Day forecast looks bright which is a great sign for Falcon Park.

This weekend will mark the first baseball of the spring on North Division Street. Saturday the Doubledays will host a doubleheader of high school baseball. Auburn High will take the field at 11am vs Corcoran High School and Chittenango at 3pm vs Fulton High School.

Knowing baseball is returning to the park has us feeling like…..giphy (10).gif

Scheduling a high school baseball game with the Doubledays can be done by contacting Andrew Sagarin at 315-255-2489 or andrew.sagarin@auburndoubledays.com.

The Nationals are off to a hot start in the NL East. They are in sole possession of first place with  record of 4-1 entering a divisional series against the Atlanta Braves.

Bryce Harper and former Brooklyn Cyclones player Daniel Murphy have started the season well for the Nationals. Murphy has tallied 7 RBIs in five games with a batting average of .471. Harper has blasted two homers in the first five games. Former Doubledays Blake Treinen and Anthony Rendon have also helped the Nationals early on in the season. Treinen has pitched in three games recording two strikeouts and he has yet to concede an earned run. Rendon has played in all five games and is currently batting .304.

In preparation for Opening Day on June 17 let us know your favorite part of Opening Day.

One of my favorite things about Opening Day is the look of the ball park. Seeing the sun shining down on the field with the bunting around the grandstand.

As always thank you for reading and check back next week!
