When the sun is shining in Auburn how can you not get excited about baseball at Falcon Park?
Believe it or not the countdown to Doubledays Opening Day has now reached 56 days!
In the meantime, we have plenty of baseball action to hold you over. A group of High School baseball teams are set to take the field with three more games next week. Monday and Wednesday will feature some great afternoon baseball with games starting at 12pm and 11am respectively. Tuesday afternoon’s first pitch is set for 4:30pm.
As we continue to approach the start of the season things inside the office are starting to get busy as we begin to finalize promotions. (You are probably expecting a tease of a promotion, but I cannot drop any new intel yet.) We are really excited for what we have in store for the 2016 season and we cannot wait to debut it!
The Washington Nationals continue to lead the National League East Division. The Nats just finished a seven-game road trip which included match-ups against divisional opponents Philadelphia and Miami.
The Nationals took 2 of 3 against the Phillies and split four games with the Marlins.
Bryce Harper has continued to hit the ball well as of late, last night Harper launched his 8th homer of the season (tied for most in the MLB) and has tallied at least 1 RBI in the last 8 games (a career best).
This blog post is going up much later than I expected and I apologize. I blame the fact that I did not bring any K-cups to work with me this week and without the boost of a hot cup of coffee my creative juices do not flow.
As always thanks for reading and until next week,
